World Class Video Delivery
High Performance Video Streaming
Today's large enterprises have diverse needs for network video. They need to deliver broadcast feeds to the desktop and flat panels and need to implement cost effective signage systems. They need to make stored video content available for training and reference. And some need to launch internal broadcasts of events or even complete internal TV stations. HaiVision's Video Furnace System 5 enables secure, coordinated, and controlled IP video distribution. With support for industry standard HD H.264 corporations can be confident that they are prepared for future demands, can extend their video assets to all platforms, and deploy vendor agnostic systems.

HaiVision's Video Furnace is an end-to-end IP video distribution system that fully supports industry standard H.264. The BARRACUDA and MAKITO encoders contribute live video securely. The Furnace Portal Server, Playback Manager, and Media Server deliver live, recorded, and on demand content. InStream is the true marvel of the system. On any desktop or on HaiVision's STINGRAY set top box, InStream provides a true client / server player environment that never requires any installation and is always in communication with the Portal Server. This not only allows for extremely easy deployment (nothing ever to manage, install, or update on desktops) but also allows for coordinated video distribution (same interface and even synchronization between desktops and flat panels) and administrative control of those endpoints. Furnace's Command and Control software allows manager to message to any endpoint or group and control the behavior of any endpoint or group. For instance, an administrator can send a message to a particular zone (group) containing a lunch schedule, event, or emergency message. Administrators can enforce and/or report on any user controlled player functions or window characteristics. They can also schedule channel changes so, for example, publicly controlled set top boxes revert to a common channel at a particular recurring time. The command and control feature is extremely unique and very powerful.

Applications of HaiVision's Video Furnace are as diverse as the challenges within the enterprise. Some use the Furnace to deliver HD video for signage applications, eliminating the dependence of system wide signage systems by instituting industry standard HD distribution to low cost set top boxes and moving the content systems to a head-end. Some combine such a philosophy with the HiLo Streaming capability of HaiVision encoders to simultaneously make high definition and standard definition video available to accommodate low bandwidth users. Some establish scheduled recording of events to make live content available for playback or on demand access. Others simply opt to make broadcast channels available on desktops and flat panels throughout the organization. Regardless, Video Furnace is extremely easy to deploy and use, with no desktop software required, assuring that user adoption is maximized.
