Atlantic is pleased to offer complete site Internet integration solutions, based solely on Windows NT! Atlantic has hand-picked a suite of solid NT-based Internet application servers for core applications--news, DNS, SMTP mail handling, FTP, and more. We bundle these together with capable NT-based firewalls to create comprehensive NT Internet site solutions. |
Every site needs a firewall and an information server.
Usually, these are separate computers--the firewall
provides a screened, private interface to the
Internet; the information server invites outside
connections.

Eagle NT

Eagle NT is a time-tested, transparent proxy firewall featuring a comprehensive Windows NT gui, virtual private networking, Eagle's Suspicious Activity Module (SAM), and complete logging and challenge/response capabilities. Learn more about Raptor's Eagle NT.
Our choice in domain name servers is MetaInfo's adaptation of BIND 4.9.2. Underneath, configuration looks much like that of a traditional UNIX nameserver. On top, however, MetaInfo's GUI takes the pain out of zone updates and maintenance. What's more, the latest version (2.0) ties DHCP service and name service together; dynamically assigned addresses can co-exist with DNS.
Serv-U is a terrific NT FTP server, supporting classes of user, time of day access, limits, and anonymous FTP. All administration is done via a capable NT services GUI.
Additionally, DNEWS provides a sucking feed facility; rather than have an upstream sight speculatively push news onto your server, DNEWS's sucking feed can draw off just the articles that are in demand. This saves resources in every way--bandwidth, disk space, and news processing overhead.
You may have an enterprise SMTP hub picked out already (e.g Exchange), or have a LAN/SMTP mail gateway in place. Consider, however, that though it is possible to pass SMTP traffic directly to an internal LAN/SMTP gateway, you may still want a mail processing agent on the firewall to control access, and provide a general capability for address rewrites; mail processing on the firewall provides a first line of defense. Atlantic is currently recommending a late version of crufty old sendmail, available with a GUI front-end from MetaInfo. Why sendmail? Though a challenge to configure, sendmail is the most powerful mail transport agent available.
